Camp 78 Trip to Medieval Times

Today at Camp 78 we went to Medieval Times. I was excited because I had heard good things about it from 8th graders who had gone on a trip there with school. When we were on the bus ride there, I was picturing a wide open lawn, removed from the modern world, but when we turned on to Polito Avenue I saw a castle and parking lot, but no grass. The castle looked totally out of place in between two glass and concrete buildings, with a telephone line blocking the view of one of the castles towers, which proudly held an American flag.

Camp 78 Trip to Brownstone Park

Today at Camp 78, we went to Brownstone Park. I had been looking forward to the event and was excited on the bus ride to the park. I was a little nervous because there were clouds in the sky. When I stepped out of the bus, I didn’t really know what to expect, but I definitely wasn’t expecting what I saw.

The Outsiders Essay

The last book I read this year in English was The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. I enjoyed this book, and had interesting discussions about it with my friends. Our class spent lots of time working on vocabulary sheets and themed short answer questions for this book. The essay question for my final exam was "What is the main theme of The Outsiders." What I wrote below is based on my memory of the final essay and other assignments.

Reflections Of 6th Grade Student Government

When I came to the first student government meeting I was super excited. I came with a flash drive holding a power point presentation I had made about the system of government we could have, which was going to be our first topic. I met some people, and listened to Mrs. Braun talk, and then brought up the system of government subject. It was decided that each grade would have one president, and everyone else would be allowed to come to meetings as well. I was happy, and confident I could win the election for sixth grade president.
