My dad and I read The Black Count by Tom Reiss. It’s a book about Alexandre Dumas, a black soldier in the French Revolution and the basis for the book The Count of Monte Cristo, a novel written by Alex Dumas Jr., the writer of The Three Musketeers.

Boom, Bang, Tick, Stomp!
This weekend my family and I went to see the show Stomp! There where ten fabulous performers. They all did many different individual scenes. The scenes all involved some sort of irregular instrument, such as a garbage can, a basketball, or a matchbox. Stomp is a very inspiring play that demonstrates one thing in this world that you don’t have to pay for, music.

Judo With Isa
We took a Judo class with Isa at Sarah Lawrence. We worked on a few warmup exercises like shrimping and did push-ups and rolls before working on throws. There were hip throws and shoulder throws that were pretty similar to the throws we do at my dojo. They were very easy and probably better then the one's at my dojo. I really enjoyed it.

Mobile Races
The annual cub scout -mobile races took place today. Basically, each den builds or inherits a cub-mobile and two scouts race them down a hill. There are "catchers" at the bottom who stop the cars when they cross the finish line. My dad has always been the main catcher.
