Modified Soccer 2015

At the beginning of the year, I found out that as a 7th grader I would be eligible for autumn modified sports. I signed up for soccer a long with some of my friends from Rye Youth Soccer. The biggest difference between RYS and Modified is the competitiveness. This is partially because Modified has 7th and 8th graders, but also because schools are encouraged to be competitive. I enjoyed this season more than the RYS season, because there was a community built up around the team and this was more competitive. I can't wait till next season.

Beardsley Zoo

Today, the Degnans, Mom, Andrea, and I went to the Beardsley Zoo. Even though it wasn't as good as the Bronx Zoo, I had a lot of fun. When we came in,  I took a map and went off by myself to find one of the exhibits. I looked all around the secluded courtyard area on the map, but I couldn't find it. When we went to eat lunch in the crowded, dirty, hot lunch area, I mentioned the courtyard with no exhibits and no one around. We went to eat there, and enjoyed the shade.

Raspberry Pi

For a long time I have been interested in coding. This started at Khan Academy when they introduced their coding unit. I made about 30 little projects there until I found out that I was using processing js, a language designed for beginners. Then I found codecademy and I took their html/css and js courses. Then I found out once again that they were using artificial js. I went to w3schools where they have pretty much the documentation for html, css, js, and many other languages. The biggest problem is that they didn’t have a place to test your code.
